I travel a lot so I have used most of them, and sharing what my experience has been with these companies. This Blog will tell you about which car companies you should consider If you are looking to book a self drive car on rent.

I travel a lot so I have used most of them, and my experience has been The best in service self car rental companies that operate in Delhi are:

1.     REVV

2.     OGONN

3.     ZOOMCAR

4.     MYLES

5.     VOLER

These companies are reliable self car rental service but the actual service experience can be gained by using them once or twice. My Detailed experience for the companies are as follows :-

REVV

I have booked revv two times and the experience was the satisfactory. The basic concept of revv is they provide UNLIMITED KILOMETERS for the booking >24 hrs in which fuel is paid by the user as per the requirement . The booking <24 hrs have a fixed kilometers plan as ZOOMCAR . The best thing about revv is the very responsive and helpful customer support service . Most of the Cars are new and The maintenance team is the best in taking care of the cars after every booking . Though the company is new to the business but gaining more and more grip in the market due to the excellent service . The range of cars is also good ranging from grand i10 to audi Q3 . OGONN

Ogonn Car rental is less famous comparatively the  other companies Like Zoom car or Myles. I listened about it from one of my friend and thought to give it a try, and May be this company is not so famous they provide much satisfactory service. They also give limited kilometers but the thing is that they provide good Condition  Cars without any Logo which is a good thing. It is good if someone is going to any Party or any official meeting than having a logo on the car can put a bad impression on the other side. Cars are sanitized and Properly cleaned. The ideal cars to get for the  car rental.

They give huge discount on long term car rentals, If someone has come from other city for job purpose or for long time Renting a car/bike is a good option for them.

ZOOMCAR

It is the most famous and biggest group in the business . Its the name due to which people get to know that something like Self Drive exist in India. Its have it roots in major cities of India . The basic concept of ZOOMCAR is they give LIMITED KILOMETERS but also provide the fuel to the user . They have 3 plans for the free usable KILOMETERS to give the user freedom to choose the between the plans as per the requirement . My experience with zoomcar was good but as the company is so big small issues get unnoticeable many times and user have to face problems . Cars are neat and serviced . I WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND ZOOMCAR ONLY IF THE LIMITED KILOMETER PLANS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE APPROXIMATE USAGE DURING THE BOOKING BY THE USER . The image of the car

MYLES

The pricing provided by myles is cheaper from the zoomcar and revv but the only restriction is that the user must be 23 years to avail the service from myles . The cars are well maintained . i was not able to test the customer support as i got no issues related to my booking . If you are looking for cheap pricing plans then Myles is going to be a right choice . Less driven and clean cars were some of the feature noticeable .

VOLER

I booked a duster from VOLER . First of all the customer support is THE WORST . they don’t pick the calls even after trying for hours . Either its a emergency they wont bother . But the positive point is they provide a UNLIMITED KILOMETERS. Either its a long booking or small booking UNLIMITED KILOMETER with decent pricing plans are the best combo a user can get . The charges of fuel is on the user . The duster i was given had 50k on its odometer . It had no pollution certificate which is BIG ISSUE in a city like Delhi . The state tax for haryana expired and i was told to pay for it (THE STATE TAX FOR HARYANA AND DELHI ARE PAID BY THE COMPANIES THEMSELVES) . The car was running on the reserve fuel when it was delivered . SUMMING UP THE EXPERIENCE the prices are decent but the customer support is PATHETIC . The cars are not in good shape and have high on odometer and not well maintained .

Things to check before renting A car :  

1.    Make sure you have necessary Documents:

You should first know what necessary documents you need for getting a Car on rent. It will be very unpleasant to know that you don’t have your documents and can’t get the car on the spot.

So It will be better If you keep your necessary paperworks ready to avoid the hassle.

2.      Check the car damages:

You should check If the car is not damaged ,you would not want to get a car which has some damage and you become liable to pay for it. So before getting into the car you should check for any damages.

3.      Know the way where you are going:

Before getting a car on rent, It would be a good idea to have a travel plan with locations to visit in order to budget your time effectively. This subcontinent is not small as you may think and there are plenty of landmarks and attractions that you may be interested in seeing. Tell the Ogonn car rental staff , They will help you in getting to know the perfect route and travel plan as well as advise you about places that you won’t be finding on your Lonely Planet travel guide. 5.     Don’t look for a car at airport or Railway station:

The agencies near the airport or Railway station can charge you for Booking self drive cars very high like you are buying gold from them. You should wait for some time and  enquire or check online about the car rental services and there prices. You can get a far better deal than the agencies near the airport/station.

You are going to travel to enjoy not to get robbed by these kind of service providers who put a hole in your pocket.

 

6.     Always use seatbelts and check for safety gears:

Safety is of foremost importance You should check the necessary safety gears and the first-aid kit also you don’t know when you are gonna need this. It is in your own safety to wear the seat belts and helmets and ride safely.

Do not drink and drive while on your ride to avoid any accident and police penalty. Enjoy the journey without any Intemperance.

7.     Stay on the road: 

Rental cars should not be used for Overspeeding, stunts or off- roading. It is a rental vehicle for the Public use. You should respect the vehicle. Any damage happens to the Car/ bike, will make you liable to pay for the damage.
